Workers’ Compensation Insurance Claims Process
The Art of Claims Management
If workers’ comp. claims are not managed effectively, they can cost everyone involved. Lost time affects your bottom line, period. And if all components of a claim aren’t moving in sync at any given time, you can expect your staffing company to feel the impact.
Eplica’s claims management is a well-oiled machine and our workers' comp. claims team knows what it takes to have the wheels in motion at all times. What it boils down to is proactive project management – making sure everyone involved in the claim is doing his or her job.
Fortunately for our clients, Eplica’s ratio of injury claims to claims manager is extremely low (sometimes as low as 50-to-1) due to our first-rate safety programs. In the past, some state insurance funds have reported a claims-to-claims manager ratio of 400-to-1. Our low ratio enables us to focus our efforts on any one claim to close it at a rapid pace.
Heavy-Duty Claims Control
The workers’ comp. team at Eplica is backed by some pretty impressive resources. Multi-state coverage for clients means we’re knowledgeable of the various state laws and prepared to handle claims across the U.S. (except Rhode Island and Alaska). And, in the case that a claim does not go smoothly, Eplica has defense attorneys coast-to-coast and third-party investigators if fraud is suspected.
We’ve hand-selected clinics across the country that meet strict guidelines for treating injured workers. We did this with the help of a licensed physician specializing in workplace injury who also happens to be Eplica’s workers’ comp. Medical Director.
Eplica-qualified doctors will treat your workers. These physicians have a firm understanding of the workers’ comp. policies in the state they practice in, and as a result, know how to handle workplace injuries and the process involved.
Eplica’s superior workers’ comp. claims process includes:
- Accident investigation within 24 hours, including an incident analysis, drug test, employee statement, witness statement, supervisor statement and injury report.
- Personal weekly tracking and management of each claim to ensure all parties are fulfilling their duties.
- Monthly injury report and analysis gives visibility into end-client workplace hazards and costs to our clients.
Back to Work
When one of your workers has been injured, getting them back to work at a job they can perform is essential. When workers stay home after an injury, the claim becomes a disability issue and in return can unintentionally push workers to become unmotivated.
Every injured worker (within reason) covered under Eplica’s workers’ compensation insurance program enters into our Modified Duty Program while their claim is being processed. Workers consent to this program prior to an injury and it allows them to be paid at their current rate for a modified job, chosen at your discretion.
We work with you to determine the injury’s limitations and will get that person back to work, no matter what. If you don’t have a job for your worker, we’ll make calls to clients in our network. The goal is to keep your workers productive and paid while on their way to recovery.
Contact Eplica to be a part of our superior workers’ comp. program that keeps your claims running smoothly and the cost of insurance for your business low.
