Description:

As a member of the marketing-communications department, the Communications Associate will serve as a copywriter for Eplica and its clients, for both internal and external communications. At the direction of the Communications Specialist, this person will assist in developing copy in support of PR & media efforts, Web sites and sales copy in addition to internal communications. This role is a key contributor in crafting messages that uphold the integrity and credibility of Eplica’s identity as well as the individual brands of our clients.

The Communications Associate will author copy for a diverse group of clients, each requiring a distinct voice. This individual must be able to adapt his or her style of writing for differing mediums and demonstrate journalistic integrity based on superior research, investigation skills and upholding the highest standards of editing / proofreading.  

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Writing copy and maintaining content for up to 20 Web sites, including search engine optimization tasks that require integrating key words into content while maintaining content flow and message integrity.
  • Writing copy for multiple client projects including brochures, flyers, ad campaigns, sales letters, internal communications, articles and any additional communications pieces.
  • Supporting public relations efforts, including researching editorial calendars; researching speaking opportunities, exhibitor events and sponsorship opportunities; preparing award submissions; compiling media distribution lists; and press release distribution.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s in journalism, public relations, English, advertising or marketing. Some professional experience required. The Communications Associate must be detail oriented and have the ability to manage multiple projects at once; be able to switch gears on a moment’s notice and work well under pressure; know how to effectively manage time; be goal-oriented; work well in a team setting as well as individually; and eager to learn and apply a wide range of communications on a daily basis. Knowledge of various styles of writing such as AP and Chicago is preferred but not required. Familiarity working with an editor preferred but not required.
